Nella sostanza, questo modello descrive sintomi clinicamente rilevanti lungo dimensioni che appartengono alla sfera del tempo, del pensiero, del corpo e delle emozioni negli stati di coscienza normale in stato di veglia e negli stati alterati di coscienza correlati a traumi. Le tipiche manifestazioni di TRASC includono: flashback, sentire voci, depersonalizzazione e ottundimento emozionale.
