Tan Boards. Condizione: Good. No Jacket. Moore, Bethuel - Frontispiece Portrait of Jonas (illustratore). Limited Private Printing, 200cc. Tan Boards. Good/No Jacket. Limited Private Printing, 200cc. Hardback. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. 21 pages; frontispiece drawing of Jonas by Bethuel Moore; " 'Table for Critics' is privately printed and limited to 200 copies; Copy No. 10, (signed in ink) E.A. Jonas." From the dedication page: " To Cale Young Rice, Credo Harris, Richard G. Knott, William H. Field, Menefee Wirgman, William Davenport--Presidents of The Arts Club who have passed the chair, and to W.K. Stewart, President in Being--these jingles are dedicated." The author pokes fun at the Club's nature and preference for theater, and has mentioned circa 30 of the members, with his impression of them (including himself) in humorous vein. Book condition: The book has some damp-staining: Close to the cover edges on three sides on the rear cover; on the bottom edge of the front cover (stains are a bit darker than the light manilla cover and page paper); internally, the stains are minor and mainly confined to the hinge areas, in the front decreasing in extent and disappearing by the dedication page; in the rear, on a blank page before the final printed page. This is an interesting insider's (Louisville newsman) view of the Arts Club in its more influential days. Cale Young Rice, W.K. Stewart, Boyd Martin and the other Club presidents listed above are still names rembered by some Louisvillians. Signed by Author(s).
