Condizione: Very Good. Rare 1941 Original Edition: "Tre små pysslingar" by Kerstin Frykstrand Up for sale is a beautiful and highly collectible piece of Swedish children's book history. This is the original 1941 edition of "Tre små pysslingar och deras vänner i skogen" ("Three Little Pixies and Their Friends in the Forest"), written and beautifully illustrated by the beloved Swedish-Finnish artist Kerstin Frykstrand (1901-1997). Frykstrand's warm, nostalgic style is famous worldwide, particularly among collectors of Scandinavian vintage art, Elsa Beskow, and Sibylle von Olfers. She was also one of Sweden's most prolific postcard illustrators. This charming book follows three little pixies/gnomes on their magical adventures in the Swedish forest, meeting grasshoppers, beetles, Miss Fish, and musical frogs. Book Details: Format: Hardcover with a vibrant red cloth spine (Swedish: Klotryggband). Dimensions: Approx. 22 × 27 cm (8.6" × 10.6" - landscape format). Illustrations: Richly illustrated with stunning, full-page watercolor plates in color, alongside beautiful monochrome sepia drawings. Publisher: Sörlins Förlag, Norrköping, Sweden. Language: Swedish (but the gorgeous illustrations speak a universal language!). Condition Report (Very Fine / Excellent Vintage Condition): It is incredibly rare to find 1940s children's books in this pristine condition. Interior Pages: Extremely clean, bright, and fresh. Absolutely no writing, scribbles, coloring, or names. Binding: Tight and secure. No loose pages. Flaws: Only a couple of tiny, minor vintage spots on a page or two (hardly noticeable). Cover/Corners: Minor, gentle wear/bumping to the corners (see photos), but the cover remains bright and the cloth spine is strong and intact. Please review the high-resolution photos carefully to assess the condition for yourself. Kerstin Frykstrand (illustratore).…
