Les deux dernières planches ne sont pas numérotées. Reliure en pleine basane brune d'époque. Dos à nerfs orné de grands fleurons au tournesol. Pièce de titre en maroquin beige. Premier et dernier feuillet doublés ( le dernier corrigeant une déchirure en marge interne) ; dans le premier le frontispice a été inséré dans le feuillet qui joue le rôle de passe-partout. Petits trous de vers en marge basse formant une virgule sur l'ensemble du volume. En marge interne, 2 petites perforations, sans doute pour passer des ficelles et constituer un cahier. Les 3 premières planches avec quelques pâles rousseurs et salissures ou jaunissures en marge. Frottements. estafilades sur les plats. Un coin émoussé. Godonnesche était maître du cabinet des médailles du roi auquel eut accès Fleurimont, graveur. | [ENGLISH DESCRIPTION FOLLOWS] Second edition, with some parts in first edition, more complete than the first and extending to 1745, the first stopping in 1734. It contains 68 engraved plates, including an allegorical frontispiece by Le Moine and engraved by Cars, an engraved cartouche title, an engraved epistle and 65 plates of medals extending from 1715, date of Louis XV's enthronement, to the Dauphin's marriage in 1745. The last two plates are unnumbered. Contemporary full brown sheep binding. Spine with raised bands decorated with large sunflower fleurons. Beige morocco title label. First and last leaves backed (the last correcting a tear in the inner margin); in the first the frontispiece has been inserted into the leaf which serves as a mount. Small wormholes in the lower margin forming a comma throughout the volume. In the inner margin, 2 small perforations, probably to pass strings and form a gathering. The first 3 plates with some pale foxing and soiling or yellowing in margins. Rubbing. Scratches on the boards. One corner slightly bumped. Godonnesche was master of the king's medal cabinet to which Fleurimont, engraver, had access. *.

Pièce de titre en maroquin rouge. Coiffe de tête arrachée. Dernier caisson de queue manquant. Mors supérieur fendu et ouvert. Coins très émoussés et dénudés. Ensemble frotté, particulièrement en bordures, avec rayures et éraflures sur les plats. Intérieur parfaitement frais. Ce recueil de Fleurimont est une "continuation non officielle des Médailles sur les principaux évènements du règne de Louis XIV" (Sarmant, Bibliothèque de l'École des Chartes, 2000, p. 88). Les planches couvrent la période de 1715 (intronisation) à 1736 (education de Monsigneur le Dauphin). Red morocco title label. Head cap torn off. Last tail compartment missing. Upper joint split and open. Corners very bumped and worn. Overall rubbed, particularly at edges, with scratches and scuffs on boards. Interior perfectly fresh. This collection by Fleurimont is an "unofficial continuation of the Medals on the principal events of the reign of Louis XIV" (Sarmant, Bibliothèque de l'École des Chartes, 2000, p. 88). The plates cover the period from 1715 (enthronement) to 1736 (education of Monseigneur le Dauphin).
