Mouillures claires, déchirure restaurée à une carte. En 1825, Louis Galabert eut le projet de faire construire une continuation du Canal du Midi, depuis Toulouse jusqu'…aux environs du Bec-du-Gave. Ce canal devait remonter la rive gauche de la Garonne par Saint-Gaudens et Montrejau puis descendre dans la vallée de l'Arros en suivant la rivière, puis celle de l'Adour. Mais ce projet n'aboutit jamais, faute de financement.
