Henry Altemus Series was the first unauthorized American printing of Peter Rabbit. Size of the…book is: 5.5"x4.25". 63pp. Grey boards with debossed title and decoration pastedown color illustration on the cover. Illustrations done by J. L. Gallagher. Spine has some damage on both the front and the sides (see picture). Good+ Condition. No dust jacket. Blue end papers with the previous owner's name written in the "This Book Belongs to: " space. Rear hinge is cracked, but the binding is holding. A few pages have some minor staining in the margins (see picture). No other markings. ; Color Illustrations; 24mo 5" - 6" tall; 63 pages.
