This scarce large (29 x 33 inch) fold-out map has some wear along the folds and a few small pencil marks - could be erased.(to give an idea of size the ruler across the middle is 18 inches). It was issued about 100 years ago in 1928 to accompany the auction particulars of the properti…es surrounding the golf course. This was the same year that the golf course was opened. It can be noted that the hole numbers are marked on the map and appear to be still the same as today, but the proposed nine hole course on the South & West side appears to have been developed as a later date. The roads marked include Bucklesham Road, Heath Road, Purdis Hall Road (now Purdis Farm Lane), Foxhall Rd, Purdis Avenue, but also includes the area where Beachwood Drive, Salehurst Rd, Cuckfield Avenue, Heathlands Park, Brockhill Way, Valleyview Drive now are. Ideal for framing.
