Paperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. This book delves into a historical controversy surrounding a seminal work, whose authorship has been debated since its publication. The work in question emerged amidst a period of political and social upheaval, influencing public opinion at a time when England was embroiled in civil strife. The book has been attributed to both the King and a prominent Bishop. The author meticulously examines the evidence, presenting a detailed analysis of the arguments for and against each claimant. The book's investigation is particularly fascinating for its exploration of the motives behind the controversy. The author explores the political machinations of the King's enemies, as well as the potential personal and professional ambitions that may have driven the Bishop's claims. This book offers a compelling insight into the complexities of historical attribution and sheds light on the power of literature to shape public opinion during times of profound political and social change. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…
