He has composed music for the feature films The Body and Sunday Bloody Sunday while co-composing Pink Floyd's first gold album Atom Heart Mother and making music and sound for the media in general. In addition to his musical passions, Ron has been researching, collecting and photographing adjustable spanners for over thirty years and is now recognised as a world authority on what he himself describes as an 'obscure branch of mechanical absurdity'. Stimulated by readers reactions to The Adjustable Spanner History, origins and development to 1970, Ron Geesin determined to write a short supplement comprising the new information. This soon expanded and demanded a new book because of the breadth and depth of the new material, which inevitably led on to further discoveries.
