Globalization and technological advances have made the world of work more demanding, so young people need to be trained to enter the job market. The aim of this study was to characterize the profile and difficulties encountered by nurses in the academic-professional transition at a university located in the Midwest of Santa Catarina. This is a quantitative-qualitative study. A total of 74 nursing graduates took part, having graduated between 2009 and 2015. The results show that 90.5% are currently working as nurses, the majority of graduates had no difficulties getting their first job, they entered the world of work by various means and are satisfied with their current situation. They are satisfied with what they learned during their degree. They reported criticisms of the degree, such as a hospital-centered view, a low number of hours of practical classes and a lack of experience on the part of the teachers, especially in the field of internships, as well as pointing out the need for improvements. La globalización y los avances tecnológicos han hecho que el mundo laboral sea más exigente, por lo que los jóvenes necesitan formarse para acceder al mercado laboral. El objetivo de este estudio fue caracterizar el perfil y las dificultades encontradas por los enfermeros en la transición académico-profesional en una universidad localizada en el Centro-Oeste de Santa Catarina. Se trata de un estudio cuantitativo-cualitativo. Participaron 74 graduados en enfermería, graduados entre 2009 y 2015. Los resultados muestran que el 90,5% están trabajando actualmente como enfermeros, la mayoría de los graduados no tuvieron dificultades para conseguir su primer empleo, entraron en el mundo laboral por diversos medios y están satisfechos con su situación actual. Están satisfechos con lo que aprendieron durante la carrera. Señalaron algunas críticas a la titulación, como la visión hospitalocéntrica, el escaso número de horas de clases prácticas y la falta de experiencia por parte del profesorado, especialmente en el ámbito de las prácticas, además de señalar la necesidad de mejoras. Ils ont fait part de critiques concernant le diplôme, telles qu'une vision centrée sur l'hôpital, un faible nombre d'heures de cours pratiques et un manque d'expérience de la part du personnel enseignant, en particulier dans le domaine des stages, et ont souligné la nécessité d'apporter des améliorations.
