Vintage photograph of actors Lilian Harvey and Tullio Carminati on the set of the 1935 film. Two stamps and a mimeo snipe on the verso, one stamp crediting studio photographer Ray Jones. From the archive of noted Hollywood still photographer Ray Jones. Born in Wisconsin on January 1, 1901, Jones worked for Paramount Pictures in…the early 1930s, and went on to be the head of the still photography department at Universal Pictures in 1935, where he worked well into the 1950s. Carminati stars as a wealthy womanizer who haunted by his memory of a former paramour, returning to find her engaged to his friend. An unsuccessful attempt at establishing German film star Harvey as a major star in Hollywood. Set in Monte Carlo. 8 x 10 inches. Near Fine.
