This book is an attempt to show what India's people did to further the Commonwealth's war effort. The author has concerned himself solely with the subject of Supply and its part in enabling the Indian Army, the Royal Indian Navy and the Indian Air Force to meet the responsibilities that war brought to them. He has tried to wrote of Supply in the generic and all-embracing sense, and not merely of the Supply Department. The book is bound in the original white cloth covered boards with black titling on the spine. The case of the book is in very good condition with bumping to the spine ends. The contents are tight and clean although several pages, mostly near the start of the book, have pencil underlining and/or lines drawn on the margin and notes. The unclipped dustwrapper has shelf wear and some soiling and the spine is browned. The corners and bottom of the spine are bumped and nicked with small pieces missing and up to about 1/2" is missing from the top of the spine. There are tears of about 1 1/4" on the top front corner and top front spine edge.…
