Paris, Jérôme de Marnef, 1580. In-16, 476-[11]p. Nouvelle édition, entièrement en latin, qui fut imprimé la première fois vers 1480, à Louvain, avec des notes attribuées à Arnaud de Villeneuve. Les sources de ces préceptes médicaux sont à chercher vers le XIe siècle. Il s'agissait de vers facilement mémorisables. La version la plus célèbre de ce texte est celle avec les notes de Curion et Cress, sur lesquels on ne sait presque rien, et qui fut imprimée la première fois en 1545, puis avec des commentaires plus étendus dès 1555. Il y eu plus une quarantaine d'éditions depuis 1545 jusqu'à la fin du XVIe siècle. Toutefois, malgré le nombre d'éditions, l'ouvrage est devenu rare. A la suite se trouve un ouvrage de Georges Pictorius qui fut ajouté au livre dès 1575. Ce sont sept dialogues, en latin, entre Théophraste et Polyloge faisant des liens sur les causes externes des maladies : air, nourriture, travail, sommeil, etc. Cartonnage bradel papier fin XIXe, pièce de titre maroquin. Papier légèrement jauni sur une grande partie de l'ouvrage, papier jauni sur le second texte. Rare.
