Long, which truth has been kept from the public by authors, journalists, and historians. No book on the life of Huey Long has been accurate. All books that have been published concerning this great man have either been published by his enemies, his cynical observers or ignorant historians who have built their books out of the newspaper morgues. This book is written by one knowledgeable concerning his greatness who loved him and respected him and dares, in this volume, to tell things that have never been told before. As the tract was distributed by The Christian Nationalist Crusade, we assume Gerald L.K. Smith, the group's founder and Chairman, had at least a hand in authorship. Robert Singerman concurs, adding that the text is a transcript of Smith's speech before the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee, April 21, 1955. A sample: ".They [the U.N.] have flooded our shores with spies, Communists, Zionists and others of the 'hate America' ilk until today they have become serpents in our breast, exploiting our hospitality while gnawing at our vitals." A significant conservative and religious figure presents his life and experiences in patriotically trying to challenge and lead American society and politics, reflecting on the many noted and eminent public and private personalities he knew, his view of thedecline of culture and civilization in the United States and the social andmoral decline he observed, the political, cultural, and religious forces which he considered were involved, and his efforts to build consensus to reverse such trends.

The fascist preacher writes during a visit to Los Angeles that he will present a petition to Congress to clean up the "Hollywood mess" of Communist infiltration. Also warns that "The Jews are now inspiring a war which, if we are involved, will weaken our defenses against Russian terror. They want us to fight the Arabs in order to save the vast Dead Sea wealth running into trillions of dollars for the Zionist racket and a new gangster-inspired Zionist state.".

Smith accuses Jews of creating and sustaining Communism, which he describes as the "politics of the anti-Christ." Lists of Communistic Jews are presented along with "evidence" from a variety of sources. Also included are caricatures of Jewish revolutionaries that were widely used by elements of the anti-Semitic fringe. Other copies of this pamphlet bear a Detroit address. Copies were distributed by Smith's devoted office manager, Donald Lohbeck. Small, stapled wrappers (5 ¼" x 3 ¾"), 16 p., illustrations. A fine copy.

A bizarre tirade against FDR and his close friend, Joseph Stalin, questioning why nobody was allowed to see FDRs body, suggesting that he was poisoned or committed suicide.

Handbill. 6.5x8.5 inch handbill, printed both sides; two fold-creases, 0.25 inch closed tear on bottom edge, otherwise very good. "Mr. Smith has been the persecuted victim of a gang of international character assassins. The same gang has effected the dismissal of General Douglas MacArthur, the 'crucifixion' of the late Senator Joseph McCarthy and is now engaged in a campaign to smear and destroy the Congressional Committee on Un-American Activities.
