No Binding. Condizione: Very Good. Text is in German. Original publisher's beige paper pamphlet. Formerly bound. No date, circa 1864. 5 1/2" x 8 1/2." Eleven pages, complete. Pages are very clean and intact except for light age toning, browning on back, a tiny dampstain at bottom edge, slight wear to extremities, last leaf being loose, and chipping and splitting along spine. A Very Good copy. This is No. 72 in a series of tracts published by the Loyal Publication Society, a pro-Union, New York-based organization that was founded in 1863 after the Union Army suffered heavy losses during the American Civil War. The purpose of the Society was to boost morale among Union soldiers and the general public through the distribution of pro-Union articles. This pamphlet contains the writings of Friedrich Schutz and Weil von Gernsbach which support the Union cause.
