So sah sich Martin Irle, der damalige Vorsitzende der Deutschen Gesellschaft fUr Psychologie bereits 1978 in Mannheim genBtigt, 'energisch' zu 'bestreiten', 'daB das Studiurn der Psychologie identisch und nur identisch -,1st mit einer Berufsausbildung zu klinischen Psychologen als Psychotherapeuten' (Irle 1979), um gleichzeitig andere Psychologiedirnensionen wieder starker in Erinnerung zu rufen. Dieser Aufruf scheint jedoch nur geringen Erfolg gezei-tigt zu haben. Die therapeutisch-klinische Debatte beherrscht weiterhin in graBen Teilen die Fachaufmerksamkeit, und Psychologiestudenten strBmen bevorzugt in entsprechende Veranstaltungen dieses Ausbildungsganges, da vermehrt schon die. universitare Psychologenausbildung therapeutische Grundausbildung roBglich macht. Zusatzlich zu dieser Bedeu tungszunahme ist eine tagliche Zunahme von theoretischen und empirischen Auseinandersetzungen mit psychologischer Therapie und Beratung festzustellen.
