An die Pianistin Margarethe Demelius (Tochter der Juristenwitwe Margarethe Demelius, 1830-1923, der Tochter von Goethes Leibarzt Karl Vogel) in Wien VIII, Kochgasse 8. - Der eh. Vermerk unter dem gedruckten Namen lautet "p. r.". - Gersuny war Sekundararzt am Prager Allgemeinen Krankenhaus und wurde 1869 Operationszögling an der II. Chirurgischen Universitätsklinik in Wien unter Theodor Billroth, der ihn 1872 zu seinem Privatassistenten machte. Von 1880 bis 93 wirkte er als Primarchirurg am Karolinenkinderspital und wurde 1882 Primarius am vorwiegend als Pflegerinnenschule gegründeten Rudolfinerhaus, dessen Gesamtleitung er nach dem Tod Billroths 1894 übernahm. Gersuny befaßte sich vorwiegend mit plastischer Chirurgie und erfand eine Reihe chirurgischer und gynäkologischer Operationsmethoden. - Die aus Krakau stammende Künstlerin "veranstaltet als Pianistin eigene Concerte und Kammermusikabende, wirkt auch bei auswärtigen Concerten mit, ertheilt Clavierunterricht und ertheilt Curse für Kammermusikstudium" (Kosel, Deutsch-österreichisches Künstler- und Schriftsteller-Lexikon, zit. n.
