Blumenthal was employed by Simon and Schuster to direct one of their publishing divisions and edited a series of biographies for young people. At her death in 1973, she left more than 240 volumes in print. Corinne Malvern [1901/1906-1956, her birth date is debated] was an American commercial artist, fashion advertising artist and illustrator of children's books from the early 1930s until she died in 1956. She is best known, perhaps, for her illustrations in Golden Books series, especially for "Frosty the Snow Man".
