Paperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. This book examines the anatomy and relationships of Corosaurus alcovensis, a Triassic marine reptile, and the Alcova Limestone of Wyoming, where it was found. The author provides a thorough osteological description of Corosaurus, focusing on its unique skeletal features that distinguish it from other nothosaurs. The book also delves into the paleobiology of Corosaurus, exploring its likely mode of locomotion, habitat preferences, and dietary habits. The author argues that Corosaurus represents an important transitional form between terrestrial reptiles and fully aquatic plesiosaurs. By examining the geology and structural setting of the Alcova Limestone, the study illuminates the paleoecology of Corosaurus and sheds light on the biogeography of nothosauriforms. The insights gained from this research contribute to our understanding of the evolutionary relationships within the Sauropterygia and provide valuable information for future studies of Triassic marine ecosystems. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format.
