"Exercises with One Holding Note" was co-created with Frederic Lillebridge and has suffered some biopredation at lower right corner, with two small closed tears "Easier Exercises for the 3d, 4th and 5th Fingers" has small smudge at lower left corner and slight creasing at upper left corner. The others are very fine.

Mit einer Spieldauer von ca. 55 Minuten zählt seine Klaviersonate e-Moll zu den größten Sonaten der Romantik und Spätromantik. Sie besteht aus fünf Sätzen: großangelegte Sonatenhauptsatzform, langsamer Satz, scherzoartiger Satz, Walzer und Schluss-Satz mit Fuge über B-A-C-H. Die Komposition zeigt eine außergewöhnliche Beherrschung der kontrapunktischen Technik, das Werk ist virtuos ohne technische Zurschaustellung. Aufgrund der zunehmenden Nachfrage hat sich der Robert Lienau Musikverlag entschlossen, die lange vergriffene Klaviersonate wieder zugänglich zu machen.
