Kurz danach wurde er zum wissenschaftlichen Mitarbeiter am renommierten Landau-Institut für Theoretische Physik in Moskau. 1995 wanderte er nach Großbritannien aus und wurde zum Professor für Mathematische Physik am Department of Mathematics am Imperial College London. Alexander verstarb in London im April 2011.Ellen Tsitsishvili ist 1941 in Tbilisi (Georgien) geboren und promovierte 1970 an der Staatlichen Lomonosov-Universität (Moskau, Russland).
