Softcover. Condizione: New. New, 8vo, 9 3/4" x 11." Brand new in shrink wrap. Black, white, and red paper wrappers with a color illustration of one of Gohlke's landscape photographs on front cover. Red spine with black lettering. Covers pristine and intact, binding tight. Pages likewise pristine and intact. Replete with Gohlke's photographs in black-and-white and color. Unpaginated, 64 pp., including printed photographs. Exhibition catalog of Frank Gohlke's work. Frank Gohlke (b. 1942) is an American landscape photographer. Many of his photographs are not only stunningly beautiful but also prompt dialogues about the relationship between people and the natural environment. Among his most notable projects were documenting the horrific aftermath of an F4 tornado that struck his hometown of Wichita Falls, Texas on April 10, 1979; taking photos of the devastation wreaked by Mt. St. Helens on the surrounding area in 1981; and preserving, through photos, the disappearing wild apple forests of Kazakhstan. Also of note, this catalog was co-published by the Friends of Photography, an arts organization founded in 1967 by Ansel Adams, among many others, to promote photography as a fine art discipline. This catalog is no. 46 of the organization's series of monographs named, _Untitled_.
