Daiell was born October 1, 1899, and spent most of his life in New York and Wisconsin working in the pharmaceutical business. In the 1950s, Daiell was the Vice President and Scientific Director at Lakeside Laboratories, Inc. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He married Lilian Leeson, and they later retired to Las Vegas, Nevada.
