Lacks the map of the world called for in Vol I, but the woodcut engravings of unusual rituals and customs complete as issued.… Upper board of Vol I only tenuously attached by cords; light rubbing and wear to leather at extremities. A few superficial instances of worming to the leather of Vol I and a small half-dime area of predation loss to leather of upper board, Vol II. Some closed tears to endpapers of Vol I and moderate toning to first and last several leaves. Here and there in both volumes are scattered instances of spotting and toning but generally light. A signature in Vol II starting slightly with some furring to the front edge of two plates. Over 40 woodcuts. G+.
