Tomas Gonda is credited with a major role in the critical establishment of graphic design in Argentina and important contributions to the Ulm School of Design in Germany. Gonda was an important, though under-recognized, influence in late 20th-century design. Simultaneously, Gonda produced a substantial body of fine art, which informed, and was informed by, his design interests and became an outlet for his ruminations on the minimal nuances of colour, light and form. - Alliance Graphique Internationale.
