Druck auf Anfrage Neuware - Printed after ordering - During recent years enzyme histochemical reactions have increasingly been considered as important, the reason being that enzyme histo chemistry is now a well-established link between morphology and bio chemistry. The development of numerous new methods and in particular the improvement of existing techniques contributed to the expansion of enzyme histochemical reactions. Today, the use of these methods allows detailed insight into molecular processes of single cells and their constituents. The selection of a suitable method for enzyme histochemical investigations needs thorough knowledge and critical evaluation of the reactions de scribed for the histochemical demonstration of enzymes and introduced in laboratory practice. Often, it is difficult for scientists primarily concerned with the application of methods and for laboratory assistants to comment on the value of an enzyme histochemical reaction. Our book will serve as a guide in this respect. It contains the most important histochemical methods for the localization of enzymes, all of which were checked by the authors themselves. These methods were often modified and frequently used for numerous different investigations of healthy and diseased organs in basic research and in routine practice.

In dieser Zeit verlangert sich der Darm, Zotten entstehen und das mehrreihige Epithel wird hochprismatisch einschichtig (Hummel, 1935; Patzelt, 1936; Kammeraad, 1942; Behnke, 1963a, b; O'Connor, 1966; Deren, 1968; Voll rath, 1969; Shervey, 1973). 1m Elektronenmikroskop erkennt man, daB die Enterocyten ihr terminales Netzwerk und Mikrovilli ausbilden; ferner nehmen Lysosomen, Mitochondrien, endoplasmatisches Reticulum und Golgi-Apparat zu (Behnke, 1963a, b; Dunn, 1967; Hayward, 1967a, b; Vollrath, 1969; Williams und Beck, 1969a). Histochemisch und biochemisch lassen sich dann in Lysosomen und im Biirstensaum des Darmepithels erstmalig Glykosidasen, Phosphatasen und Peptidhydrolasen nachweisen, deren Aktivitat gemeinsam mit der der schon vorher vorhandenen cytoplasmatischen und mitochondrialen Oxydoreductasen in den letzten Tagen der Pranatalzeit auffallig ansteigt (Cohen, 1957; Semenza, 1968; Vollrath, 1969; Williams und Beck, 1969a; Gossrau, 1973b, g; Shervey, 1973). Die weitgehende Differenzierung versetzt den Diinndarm bereits vor der Geburt in die Lage, u. a. mit dem Fruchtwasser intrauterin angebotene Fette und Proteine zu resorbieren (Vollrath, 1969; Williams und Beck, 1969a; Orlic und Lev, 1973). Postnatal entwickelt sich das Darmepithel weiter, wahrend gleichzeitig Be standteile der Muttermilch resorbiert werden. Morphologisch treten im proxi malen Intestinum mit Fett gefiillte Enterocyten und distal Saumzellen mit proteinhaltigen Riesenvacuolen auf (v. Mollendorff, 1925; Clark, 1959).
