Light orange cloth cover.xvi+318; only flaws are previous owner's small stamp top front endpaper and bookseller's small label bottom front pastedown; unclipped jacket, sealed in protective sleeve as acquired, remarkably good but v. slight rubbing and some faint water (?) stains to top spine, which also has just a faint hint of browning. Basically a two stage study of infants undertaken at age 8 months or less and then again age 3-5 years. Methodologically innovative and original at time it was undertaken.

Soft cover. Condizione: Good+. 1st Edition. 4 papers reprinted from leading Gestalt Psychology journal Psychologische Forschung Vol.16/17, paginated 305-444 at bottom but differently at top. These include Koffka on colour constancy, G.M.Heider on transparency of form & color, F.Heider on the brightness paradox and Harrower on higher mental processes. Internally quite good apart from some dustiness and corner curling to t.p.; printed green covers edge-browning, sp.ends quite chipped, some corner rubbing/creasing. Koffka was director of the Smith College laboratory. All the series appear to be scarce.
