His mother's family were of Irish descent and his father's family were from Scotland. Graeme and his brother became borderer at Kings Preparatory School after the death of their mother and during their…father's absence while serving as the Commanding Officer of the NZ Medical Corps in the Middle East during the Second World War. Graeme was influenced by his Chapel experiences and the Anglican ministry at both the Prep School and King's College and has been a committed Christian throughout his life. His faith has been evident both in his personal life and his career in the legal profession. Graeme has been in legal practice, served on the Human Rights Commission and as a Judge in the Family Court in New Zealand. He has been asked to speak at many public gatherings. Some of these addresses have been recorded in this book and reflect his ethical stance emerging from his firm Christian faith. He has also recollected events in his personal and professional life which reflect his deep love for his family; his experiences in the work place; and an appreciation of many long established friendships.'--Publisher's description.
