52x39 cm. 4 page (one sheet folded) newspaper. Good condition, with small holes at fold junctions. The Log Cabin was a staunchly Whig publication of a 28-year old Horace Greeley which was published initially for William Henry Harrison's campaign of 1840 and continued until late 1841. This issue is particularly noteworthy as it i…ncluded Harrison's Inaugural Address of March 4, 1841. A front page note indicates that publication was delayed for several hours to enable the speech to be included. At 8,445 words, it was the longest inaugural address ever given by an American president. Harrison's inaugural speech is also of interest as it was at the time considered to have been the event which triggered the illness which claimed his life only one month later.
