Hardcover. Condizione: Good to very good. Collection of nine pamphlets or historical society publications pertaining to the War of 1812 from the Canadian perspective. All have been written by respected Canadian historians and offer and interesting insight by "the other side." The binding is broken in the center of the book but it is still a tight copy overall with new end pages having been placed at some point. The spine has been replaced with the original laid on. The book has been labeled Documentary History and has the stamp at the base of the spine "C. B. of C Library." One other stamp of the Canadian Bank of Commerce. The pamphlets are in good to very good condition with occasional minor tears ar folds for example. Some of the paper is brittle and Butler's Rangers is beginning to crack along the gutter. A great collection of primary sources. Included are Ernest Greens "Some Graves on Lundy's Lane" published by the Niagara Historical Society, Ottawa, December, 1911; E. Cruikshank's "Butler's Rangers The Revolutionary Period," Tribune Printing House, Welland, Ontario, 1893; Ernest Cruikshank, "The Fight in the Beechwoods A Study in Canadian History, 2nd edition, W. T. Sawle & Co., Welland, Ontarion, 1895; Ernest Cruikshank, "Drummond's Winter Campaign," 2nd edition, n.d., Lundy's Lane Historical Society, Niagara Falls, Ontario; Ernest Cruikshank, "The Battle of Lundy's Lane 25th July, 1814. A Historical Study, Welland: The Tribune, December 1893; Lundy's Lane Historical Society, 'A Brief Account of a Third Military Re-Interment at Lundy's Lane, Oct. 13th, 1899, with Notes, &c.; S. A. Curzon's "The Story of Laura Secord, 1813, The Lundy's Lane Historical Society, 2nd edition, 1898; William Kirby, "Annals of Niagara, Welland: The Tribune Presses, 1896; and laid in is R. W. Gary's "Historical Sketches A Memorial of the Hundredth Anniversary of the War of 1812-14," Niagara Falls, Ontario: The Lundy's Lane Historical Society, 1912. The stitches of the Geary pamphlet missing, but a clean copy. It may actually have been bound in at some time with the rest of these pamphlets. A nice collection!
