Wrappers. Condizione: Very Good Plus. First Edition. Seattle: Aerial Phenomena Research Group, 1957. First Edition of the May 15, 1957 issue, Vol. 1, No. 5. From the collection of UFOlogist Max Miller. Quarto, corner stapled legal paper, 6 pp. Mailing folds, age-toning; Very Good Plus. The fifth issue of the APRG Reporter, edited by the rising editorial star of UFOlogy, Robert Gribble, later to become NICAP director and editor of the NICAP Reporter; this publication itself, in fact, later evolved into Interplanetary and then ultimately the NICAP Reporter. Gribble's thoughtfulness, clear-sightedness and information-orientation gave his issues a value not found to the same degree in other publications of the genre in the fifties. The lengthy legal paper used in the A.P.R.G. Reporter gave him more room for more information; in this issue: "UFO Hovers Near Air Base", "Flying 'What' Films Studied", "New Jersey Area Shaken by Mystery Vibrations", "Designs On the Moon", "Brilliant Object in the Sky Seen by Gainesville, Florida Students", "Antigravity" a lengthy "Brazillian UFO Review" by Olavo Fontes, and quite a bit more. Serious output at a time in UFOlogy history when that direction was much needed and valued. From the collection of Max Miller, founder of Flying Saucers International and editor of its publication, "Saucers". L63.

From the collection of UFOlogist Max Miller. Quarto, corner stapled legal paper, 10 pp. Mailing folds, mild age-toning; Very Good Plus. Noordhoek Hegt's "News of Spitzbergen UFO Revealed"; Carol Honey's "The Universe" (now there's a topic); Olavo Fontes' "The Brazilian UFO Review"; and a variety of other shorts by Gribble, including "New Planet Found by Palomar Scope" and, of course, a wide variety of short bulletins on sightings. Printed Wrappers. Condizione: Near Fine. First Edition. Seattle: National Investigations Commission on Aerial Phenomena [NICAP], 1963 (later The National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena). First edition of the February, 1963 issue. From the collection of noted UFOlogist Max Miller. Quarto, stapled printed paper, 6 pp. including covers, which do bear articles. Paper is notably age-toned but supple; Near Fine. A surprisingly scarce piece of UFO history. This is the fifth issue ever of The NICAP Reporter, a bulletin-style brief-update format for reporting current UFO sightings around the world, a typeset publication on unpretentious paper which replaced the immediate former publication, "Interplanetary", both of course by the now-legendary NICAP. Featured in this issue is a piece of multiple-province sightings in Argentina: "Argentina Favourite 'Refueling' Stop For Flying Disks". Just a few of the numerous other single- or double- paragraph sighting items are: "Boom and Crater - Object Seen By Hundreds"; "Official Prove Urged of Mystery Object"; "Strange Light on Bolt Mountain Puzzles Man"; " 'Sky Fires' Sighted Over City [in fact, several northeastern cities]"; "Sky Object, Shock Wave Pose Puzzle"; and a wide variety of similar sightings. Scarce and historic, from the well-preserved collection of Max Miller. L103.

From the collection of noted UFOlogist Max Miller. Quarto, stapled printed paper, 6 pp. including covers, which do bear articles. Paper is notably age-toned but supple; several small chips, all at the same mailing fold on successive pages; else essentially unflawed. Very Good Plus. A surprisingly scarce piece of UFO history. A vintage issue of The NICAP Reporter, a bulletin-style brief-update format for reporting current UFO sightings around the world, a typeset publication on unpretentious paper which replaced the immediate former publication, "Interplanetary", both of course by the now-legendary NICAP. Some of the single- or double- paragraph items are: "Opinon Concerning Photos of Some Objects [in Cordoba, Spain]; "A Photo Has Been Made of A Flying Object [Bahia Blanca, Brazil]; "Flying Objects Flare Into View Over City [Seattle]"; "Strange Lights Seen Over Rootstown [Ohio]"; "South Dudley Agog Over Silver 'Dot' In Sky"; "Mystery Object Seen Over Western Washington"; "Red Ball Mystery In Sky [California]; and a wide variety of similar sightings.
