Paperback. Condizione: Good. RenWomen: What Modern Renaissance Women Have to Teach Us About Living Rich Fulfilling Lives is co-authored by twin sister and brother: Dale Griffiths Stamos and W. Scott Griffiths. The book is an exploration of some remarkable multi-talented, multi-faceted women working at the height of their abilities. Their lives and unique insights can inspire and guide women in how to reach higher and delve deeper in their own lives. Full of personal interviews, the women we profile are: Barbara Lazaroff (restaurateur, designer, writer, philanthropist, speaker); Frances Hesselbein (former CEO of Girl Scouts of America; founder of Leadership Institute, author, editor, Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient); Lorie Karnath (explorer, scientist, author and philanthropist); Eva Haller (philanthropist, activist, executive and board member of multiple non-profits, Magnusson Fellow); Margaret Wertheim (trained mathematician/physicist, science writer, speaker, co-founder of Institute of Figuring); Christine Wertheim (artist, poet, professor, co-founder Institute of Figuring); Lydia Kennard (urban planner, lawyer, former Executive Director of Los Angeles World Airports, founder and CEO of KDG Construction Consulting, board member of multiple companies); Dale Franzen (former dancer and opera singer; teacher, founder & Director of the Broad Stage) and her daughter, Alexandra Franzen (online entrepreneur, author, coach, ghost writer); Marinela Gombosev (engineer, business and marketing expert, manager); Lita Singer, Ph.D. (psychologist, professor, author, musician, fine art photographer); Kathy Eldon (journalist, film and TV producer, author, founder and director of Creative Visions Foundation); Jeanne Meyers, Rita Stern Milch, and Karen Pritzker (co-founders of The My Hero Project, and multi-talented in the arts and philanthropy); Helene Cardona (actress, poet, tri-lingual translator, magazine editor, dream analyst). We also include a chapter on the Icons, famous RenWomen such as Oprah Winfrey, Hillary Clinton, Condoleezza Rice, Maya Angelou, Jane Fonda, and Arianna Huffington. The authors come from their own multi-faceted backgrounds. Dale Griffiths Stamos is a playwright, screenwriter, poet, teacher, and producer. W. Scott Griffiths is an entrepreneur, branding and marketing expert, professor, and author/co-author of fivepublished books. There is a growing market for books about the power and values of women, represented by current books likeThe Athena Doctrine, Lean In, End of Men, Vital Voices, and the documentary film (by Emmanuel Itier), Femme: Women Healing the World. RenWomendistinguishes itself as both aspirational and inspirational. It presents pragmatic lessons on how, as women, to achieve at one's highest level, while also showing the deeper values at the heart of such achievement. In our constantly shifting, global, and confounding 21st century world, RenWomen hold key insights into how to live an expansive life of joy, passion and living up to one's fullest potential.…

4to. [4] pp., [41 leaves (unnumbered).], including mimeograph map, embossed "Mimeograph" paper watermark at fore-edges of some leaves. Contemporary quarter simulated calf over embossed "Writing Portfolio" boards, fuzzy textured brown endpapers (light interior uniform toning, scuffing, edgewear, very faint off-gassing odor), still VG exemplar from library of Alfred Powers. First edition of No. 5 in the Historical Records Survey of Oregon series reproducing, and detailing the intricacies of the preserved original abstract of the Willamette Valley & Cascade Wagon Road Co. held in Prineville, OR. (WV & CWR Co.). The Wagon Road co. was originally incorporated in March, 1864 by Luther Elkins, D.W. Balland, Morgan Kees, John Settle, and others opening a route connecting Albany, OR with the bunchgrass range in Central Oregon. The toll road was finally finished by 1868, using Chinese-American labor, with Jason Wheeler overseeing construction, and later J.A. White. In 1884, C.E.S. Wood began practicing law in Portland, OR, specializing in maritime and corporate law, as well as serving as land agent for Lazard Freres, the New York banking firm controlling the WV & CWR Co. wagon road grant stretching from Albany, OR to the Idaho border. Subsequent to the details included in this abstract, Wood would negotiate the sale of the wagon road to Louis HIll, son of railroad tycoon James J. Hill, and the million-dollar commission allowed him to retire, and relocate to northern California with Sara Bard Field. The wagon road was converted to US Highway 20 (the Santiam Highway), and completed in September, 1939. Worldcat locates 8 copies (LA Nat Hist. Mus, Boise SU, OR Hist. Soc. Lib., U of W, Wash State Lib., Yale, OR State Lib., U of O); See: Bingham, Charles Erskine Scott Wood (1990), pp. 8-9, 47; See: Griffith, Works Progress Administration, Oregon, June, 1936, p. 10.…
