Aggiungi al carrelloHardcover. Condizione: Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. Interesting copy of 'The Book of The Red Deer and Empire Big Game', edited by John Ross and Hugh Gunn. The book was published by Simpkin, Marshall, Hamilton, Kent & Co. in 1925. It contains a number of black and white illustrations and photographic plates. This is number 6 of an edition limited to 500 copies, and contains a presentation inscription to the Countess Haig on the half-title: it reads 'length of good life to thee' in both English and Gaelic, and is signed by John Ross. There are 339 pages, followed by a number of appendices. Hardback, bound in cream buckram with bevelled edges, and a rectangular stag vignette on the front cover. Gilt lettering to front cover and spine, top page edges gilt. No dustjacket. There is some shelfwear to the head and tail of the spine, and the corners and edges of the covers. The vignette is foxed, and the covers generally a little marked and discoloured. Page edges dustmarked and spotted. Pages a little browned, with the odd reading-related crease and fingermark. On the plus side, the binding is tight, and the contents generally clean and clear, so Good overall. Approx. 8 1/2 x 10 1/4 inches. Photographs available on request. Please note this is a large, heavy book, so additional postage will be required. Signed by Author(s).…
