Hardcover. Condizione: Poor. No Jacket. First Edition. 499pp., (i). With black and white photo of Rosendal as frontispiece. Back hinge is broken and disconnected from boards. Front hinge is cracked, though still tenuously attached to boards. Binding is a little cocked, though all leaves remain firmly in place. Several minor bump…s to extremities and some light wear and soiling to covers. Gilt lettering to spine and front cover remain clear and bright. Light soiling to edges of pages. Aside from light pencil underlining to a small number of pages, no writing to text. A reading copy only. Rune P. Thuringer's bookplate laid in, though it had been glued in, and remnants of glue remain to front endpapers. A good candidate for rebinding. SCARCE Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Book.

A not terribly offensive and small stain to spine. Two lovely bookplates to volume - one to front paste-down and the other (indicating that the book belonged to Rev.… Rune P. Thuringer at one time) to verso of front free endpaper. Two inscriptions in ink to front free endpaper. Several discreetly placed letters and numbers in ink to front paste-down, else, text clean. Binding sound. An attractive copy. Includes a post-card with a nice note written to an American Lutheran Minister (later, a convert to Catholicism). Overall, a lovely copy. VERY SCARCE Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Book.
