La rete mesh wireless basata su IEEE 802.11 è una tecnologia promettente per fornir…e connettività Internet a banda larga agli utenti wireless. Per accedere a Internet attraverso la rete WMN preinstallata, l'utente deve associarsi a uno dei punti di accesso mesh presenti nella rete WMN. Le prestazioni dell'utente dipendono principalmente dal punto di accesso a cui è associato e quindi il problema della selezione del punto di accesso è considerato critico nel contesto della WMN. Questo lavoro di ricerca si concentra sul problema di come selezionare il miglior punto di accesso che fornisca la migliore qualità di servizio all'utente.
