Royal octavo, bound in full leather decoratively rimmed with black leather ribbon, 28 pages of signatures, inscriptions, and even small sketches from past guests dating January 1945 to October 1999. Signed by Queen Elizabeth II and King Gustaf VI Adolf Be…rnadotte. Additionally stamped twice with Queen Elizabeth II's postage stamp and once with King Gustaf VI Adolf Bernadotte's postage stamp to the corners of the page. In very good condition with toning to the front and rear panel, rubbing to the crown and foot of the spine. On June 11, 1956, Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh arrived in Stockholm for their first State Visit to Sweden. The royal couple were greeted at the docks by King Gustaf Adolf and Queen Louise of Sweden, before the Queen and King Gustaf processed through the city in a carriage. During her visit, Elizabeth attended the State Banquet, the opening ceremony of the Equestrian Olympics, and the glamorous Amarant Ball, accompanied by Princess Margaret.

Aggiungi al carrello(d. 1981), River Superintendent and Chief Harbour Master of the Port of London Authority, as Commander of the Royal Order of the North Star (7th June 1954), on the occasion of the State Visit of the King and Queen of Sweden, with the letter from Queen Elizabeth II's Secretary, Sir Michael Edward Adeane (1910-1984), from 1972 lif…e Baron, giving permission to wear the order on certain occasions connected with the Swedish Royal Family, Embassy or Armed Services, or for example at a Memorial Service exclusively connected with Sweden (Buckingham Palace, 16th August 1954), a forwarding letter from the Swedish Embassy (17th February 1955), and a printed notice about returning the decorations on appointment to a higher rank in the order or on death, in Swedish, French and English, the diploma with engraved Royal Arms of Sweden and wafer seal of the Order of the Knights of the Seraphim, 1 side folio and conjugate blank, King Gustaf VI was a distinguished scholar and authority on Chinese art and archaeology. In 1905 he married Princess Margaret of Connaught (1882-1920) and in 1925 Lady Louisa (1889-1966), sister of Earl Mountbatten of Burma. As a boy apprentice, Commander Coleman sailed three times round the Horn in the three-masted barque 'Inverlyon' of Aberdeen, and won the D.S.C. in the Royal Navy Submarine service. He retired in 1923 to become a harbour inspector with the P.L.A., which he served for 36 years till he retired again in 1959. His colleagues knew him for his imperturbable manner and his expeditious, if unorthodox, methods of handling meetings.

In 1905 he married Princess Margaret of Connaught. She was the elder daughter of Prince Arthur, Duke of Connaught, third son of Queen Victoria, and Princess Louise Margaret of Prussia. Nicknamed Daisy and known in Sweden as Margareta, she died 30 years before her husband's accession to the throne of Sweden. On 1st May 1920, her father's 70th birthday, Margaret died suddenly in Stockholm. The official announcement said infection set in following a mastoid operation. At the time, she was eight months pregnant and expecting her sixth child. In announcing her death during traditional International Workers' Day celebrations, Swedish Prime Minister Hjalmar Branting said the sun had "gone out" at Stockholm Palace.

Showing Gustaf VI. Adolf in a formal half length pose wearing his uniform. Signed in fountain pen ink to the lower photographer's mount and dated 1938 in his hand. Additionally signed by the photographer in white fountain pen ink to the lower right corner of the image. Framed and glazed in the original red/ brown leather presentation frame by P.A. Norstedt in Stockholm and bearing a gilt stamped crown at the head. Handling wear to the frame, else good condition and excellent signed.
