Gern komme ich Ihrem Wunsche nach und übersende Ihnen den eigenhändigen Namenszug in der Unterschrift dieser Zeilen [.]…". - Founding his own studio in Berlin in 1869, as well as the "Verein für Original-Radirung" in 1885, Eilers created popular engravings and etchings, including reproductions of masterpieces by Titian, Hans Holbein the younger and Peter Paul Rubens. - Small creases near upper right corner. Self-addressed by the collector on the reverse. The Mecklenburg physician Scharlau (b. 1888) assembled a collection of artists' autographs by personal application.
