Les initiales R.D.D.M. qui font penser à la Revue des Deux Mondes ont été mises là à dessein. Notre exemplaire est imprimé sur beau papier vergé fort à pontuseaux horizontaux. Les ornements, d'après Dutel, renvoient aux éditions données par les Frères Briffaut à Paris. Références : Dutel, Bibliographie des ouvrages érotiques publiés clandestinement en français entre 1880 et 1920, n°836 (titre reproduit identique à notre exemplaire) ; Pia, Les Livres de l'Enfer, 1295. Cet ouvrage, ouvertement pornographique mais écrit dans un style très étudié, a été publié pour la première fois en 1870 à Bruxelles par Poulet-Malassis. Les frères Briffaut ont donné (selon Dutel) plusieurs éditions de ce texte entre 1910 et 1912. Notre édition a été imprimée sur un très beau papier vergé fort filigrané M B M.
