Wurzbach IX, 113. - Anton Höller (Priester der Gesellschaft Jesu, geb. zu Anfang des 18. Jahrhunderts, gest. zu Wien 26. December 1770) trat 1713 in den Orden der Gesellschaft Jesu, beendete in Gratz die philosophischen, in Wien die theologischen Studien, und legte daselbst das Ordensgelübde ab. Er wurde nun Doctor der Theologie und Philosophie und versah das Lehramt der Philosophie mehrere Jahre in Wien. Im Jahre 1737 wurde er an den kais. Hof berufen, war daselbst Beichtiger des weiblichen Hofstaates, später mehrerer Erzherzoginen und dann des Erzherzogs Joseph, nachmaligen Kaisers Joseph II. Man nennt ihn als Verfasser der zwei folgenden, von Anderen dem Jesuiten Franz Keller zugeschriebenen Werke: Monumenta Religionis Augustae seu Colossi Dei et Divorum honoribus Caesarum Austriae pietate Viennae erecti" (Viennae 1732, 8°.); Augusta Carolinae virtutis Monumenta seu Aedificia a Carolo VI erecta" (Viennae 1733, 8°.) - Die Tafeln zeigen kleine Medaillons mit herausragenden Gründungen, Bauten und Eroberungen Kaiser Karl VI., die auch textlich behandelt werden. Zu nennen sind darunter auf der Tafel "Aedificata sacra" die Karlskirche in Wien, die Josefssäule am Hohen Markt in Wien, die Leopoldskirche am Leopoldsberg bei Wien, die 14-Nothelfer-Kirche in Liechtenthal sowie Maria Trost in Graz (mit der Basilika von Mariazell im Hintergrund); auf der Tafel "Aedificata docta" die beiden kaiserlichen Kunstakademien für Malerei bzw. Bildhauerei, die kaiserliche Ingenieursakademie, die Reichskanzlei, die Hofbibliothek, der Gemäldegalerie mit dem Antikenkabinett (alles in Wien); auf der Tafel "Aedificata civila" das Armenhaus, die Militärschule, das Johann-von-Nepomuk Spital und das spanische Spital (alles in Wien); und auf der Tafel "Aedificata bellica" eine Ansicht von Belgrad sowie Temesvar. - Die Karte zeigt Teile Ungarns und Kroatiens südwestlich der Kulpa mit zwei Ansichten der neugebauten "Via nova Augusto iussu sumpti Caroli VI.". - Es fehlt wie meistens das Schlußblatt mit der Gedenkmünze zur Belagerung Wiens 1683. - Gebräunt und etw. fleckig.
