Many that originally appeared in the 'Later Work' are now transferred to [the 'Early Work'], and conversely, in order to preserve a proper chronological sequence", publisher's note. The plates printed on rectos only, on glossy paper. Uniformly bound in original pale blue cloth, white lettering & decoration, top edge gilt, others untrimmed. Spines faded, lettering & decoration partly worn away, and bumped at foot. The Later Work with 2.5 inch external repair to lower joint near spine, some white marks to lower board, & slight fraying to foot of spine. In all other respects a very good set, tight & sound.
