Ellson, a social worker with juvenile delinquents, used real experieces to inform his novels - Nelson Algren described them as "straight case studies." Lightly bumped and rubbed with a bit of nibbling to the upper fore edge of the boards. Spine damp stained and darkened. Jacket rubbed and pock marked with pieces missing, spine and upper front panel damp stained. Numbers written on the front flap, price intact, in Brodart.
