Little did I realise the many difficulties we should encounter before publication, but I hope you will agree that your patience is now rewarded. Whilst originally the intention was to restrict the scope of this book to events which affected No. 17 Group, it soon became apparent that this limitation was both impractical, and, upon consideration, undesirable.
