Copia autografata
Unbound. Condizione: Very Good. Edition Deluxe. Title page, Introductory page, Index and 75 plates (complete), all loosely housed in a blue cloth gilt portfolio. Portfolio with some staining and wear and about very good; check marks by the index of prints, else the contents are very near fine. Nearly all of the plates have been signed by the engravers; and 50 of the plates have been Signed by the artists including W.H. Gibson, Thomas Moran, Mary Hallock Foote, F. Hopkinson Smith, W.H. Lowe, A.B. Frost, J.D. Smillie and many others. Seldom found complete, this selection purports to be the best of the 600 illustrations from the set of Longfellow's works; but just as likely the determination was made based upon the overrun of the prints still available. One of 500 numbered sets, this is set #4. Signed.
