Cutler remains an indispensable aid to Middle English studies; but its compilers did not supply an index to the manuscripts cited. This is an attempt to fill the gap. In this Index each manuscript is listed under its present location, and followed by the IMEV numbers of its citations. Where these were corrected or superseded in the Supplement they are given only in the final form. Additional copies of the items and recently discovered verses have not been added; but manuscripts known to have moved or whose locations have been newly identified are cross-referenced to their former designations, and wrong or incomplete entries have been corrected.
