This is one of the cute little booklets privately printed by Cape for distribution as a Christmas "keepsake" to friends and supporters of the publishing house. It comprises seven short literary conversations, uncredited but almost certainly penned by Daniel George, Cape's reader and the editor of the in-house journal "Now & Then", from where these sketches are taken. Slight browning and rubbing to wrappers, staples a little rusty, but otherwise a near fine copy.

However, it is a doomed relationship and has tragic consequences. Condition: The book is in good condition. Some light tanning to the pages, a few patches of fading to the cloth binding, and some old tape residue to the endpapers but remaining in strong readable condition.
