Stockholm, Sveriges Allmänna Konstförening, 1904. 4:o. 32,5 x 24,5 cm. 52 sid. Rikligt illustrerad. Konstnären Johan August Malmström hämtade ofta sina motiv frå…n nordisk mytologi. Hans mest kända målning är Grindslanten, och han var även en flitig illustratör som arbetade för olika tidningar och bokförlag. Han gjorde bland annat illustrationer till Frithiofs saga och Fänrik Ståls sägner. Malmström ritade även serviser för Gustavsberg, formgav möbler och verkade som mönstertecknare. Han var professor vid Konstakademien 1867-1894 och dess direktör 1887-1893. - - - (Sveriges Allmänna Konstförenings publikation 13.).
