Cracking to gutters of a few pages with exposed binding and pages very loose. Minor pencil inscription to front free endpaper. Cracking to hinges with exposed binding, causing boards to be loose. Binding is shaky. Boards have moderate edge wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Crushing to spine ends with small splits and fraying to cloth. Scuffing and light marking overall. Not dated with no edition stated, but probably the 1st edition from 1904. 234pp + 6pp ads in rear. Mustard yellow cloth darkened, with decoration in black and titles in red & black. 'Author of' text a bit rubbed on front board. Small losses of cloth in center of rear board and along rear joint. Spine darkened and a bit wrinkled, with bumped head & foot. Internally generally VG; tidy in tight binding except for dark brown stain on pp 76-77. Used - Good. Good hardback in mustard cloth. …
