Dustjacket has two approximately 1 1/2 inch tears and corresponding crease on top edge of front panel, several lesser nicks and chips, "ghost" of price label. Book itself has some slight fading along lower corners of boards, previous owner's embossed name seal on first free front endpaper, otherwise tight, clean, paper crisp, unmarked and apparently never read. Written by fifth generation grand-niece of the real life baron, in which she gives his biography and historical backgound, and explains how the tales were somewhat distorted over time, followed by 21 tales derived from actual family archives.
