He was also involved with cataloging and repatriating art work looted and stolen by the Third Reich during World War II. Volume 1, ISBN: 0-13-046-953-X, has 597 illustrations, 71 full-color plates, plus 20 gold and 22maps. It has 468pp. Volume 2, ISBN: 0-13-046-961-0, has 674 illustrations, 86 full-color plates, plus 8 gold and 12 maps. I has 527pp. Large 4to softcovers, have no reading creases, but a minor storage crease in one rear cover and imprint from sand particle within one book. Else Fine (As New). Interiors tight, clean and unmarked. Copyrights asserted, but not dated. Printed and bound in Japan. Stated from the 2nd printing, August, 1976. LCCN: 75-37738. No MSR.
