This copy is from the thick paper edition with pages that bulk 1 inch. The paper in this thick paper edition is watermarked: "BIBLIOPHILE SOCIETY." [Some other copies of the SECOND YEAR BOOK have pages that measue only 5/8th inch thick and are printed on paper with no watermark]. Illustrated with full-page photos and portrait (with inserted tissue-guards still present). Articles include: INADEQUATE APPRECIATION OF BOOKS by Caroline Ticknor; THE FAMOUS JOURNEY OF HORACE, with HORACE, SATIRE I, 5 -- essay, notes and translation by Clarence Cary; and MISER HELLUO LIBRORUM by Nathan Haskell Dole. Also included are lists of members; officers and council; reports of the council, treasurer, and secretary; constitution and bylaws; and a necrology of deceased members.
